Nearly two months ago all updated to the site halted completely. The entire foundation of The Black & White Report broke apart and crumbled. It would be a lie if we said that it happened without warning because, as you all well know, for a few months leading up to the disaster posting became more and more sporadic (sometimes dwindling close to one or two posts per week). It was apparent that something had gone awry but, without any solution, it eventually gave way and, thus, our almost two month hiatus was birthed. Over the course of the break a lot of discussions have been had and reorganization plans drafted and considered. Finally, we have reached a solution that we think will be favorable to everyone involved.
When this site was started, and as it developed, we tried a number of different posting strategies. Daily, bi-daily and even five days a week. But, for various reasons, we could never maintain a "regular" schedule for very long and, on some days, the news experienced a lull, leaving us trivial things to discuss. It only got worse as the primary season drew to a close and more and more obstacles got in our way. But no more! Here is the new plan: we will post, at the end of every week, an extended column detailing important information that occurred during the week in an improved writing style. It will be sort of like a week in review on steroids. We will also (at this same time or on a separate day) post the much loved Picture of The Week. But don't think that this is going to become a strictly once a week blog. While it is true that some weeks may result in only one post, many times there will be shorter posts during the week delivering breaking news and other information that can't wait until the weekend. Sometimes, these News Flashes (as they are tentatively called) will even occur more than once in a day. It will all depend on when the news breaks and how big the news is, not any predetermined posting schedule. In addition to the new plan we are also in discussions to get guest posters to write every one in a while (some of whom may even get their own weekly column spot). We welcome any comments, ideas, questions, complaints or general useless information at the email address to the right.
We thank you for your patience and continued support and genuinely look forward to once again bring you cutting age social and political information. So, tell your friends, tell your neighbors, shout it from the roof tops and send annoying mass emails because we are back and better than ever!

A maze formed in a maize field in the shape of the Statue of Liberty is revealed in this aerial photo in the countryside near York, England. Farmer Tom Pearcy cut the image of the famous New York landmark in fields just a few miles from the center of the city after which the American metropolis was named. The maze's outline is 10 times the size of the iconic statue at some 1,300 feet long.Image Credit: FOX News

Tony Snow
Tony Snow is known by most for his role as White House Press Secretary under George W. Bush, but he was also a fantastic journalist throughout his career. The first host of Fox News Sunday, Snow was picked by FNC chairman Roger Ailes to help launch the fledgling cable news station to the top, and he did so with pride, honesty and integrity. Tony Snow was a man who got the job done, got the questions answered, and got the truth. He interviews top dogs such as George W. Bush and Dick Cheney and worked as a speech writer for George H.W. Bush who praised Snow, "It's hard to remember the number of times that we would say 'thank God we have Tony Snow.'" Snow resigned his job as press secretary in September of 2007 after learning that he had come down with cancer. Snow went through several shots of chemo but ultimately the disease won and Tony Snow passed away yesterday. He will always be remembered as a fantastic journalist, writer and overall human being. "In many cases, a bout with sickness stretches your soul, opens your eyes, and introduces you to a world of unimagined grandeur, possibility and joy." Said Snow after coming down with cancer, and I certainly hope he found that joy in his life. On a side note, this is our 300th post, which we feel is a fitting tribute for the great man, Tony Snow.
